Taiwan President Visits Twitter HQ

Taiwan President Tasi Ing-wen, while her week-long visit to Central-America has visited the micro messaging HQ Twitter and reactivated her previous account which was deactivated since last two years. After a long period of time, she has tweeted from her account in English in which she has thanked the staff of Twitter HQ for being so supportive and helpful. There is still little confusion about twitter account that either has reactivated her previous account or she has own new one. Whereas we can see that her two years old tweets, which are still on her account were in Chinese and now she is tweeting in English.

Her visit to Central America became important when Elect-President Donald Trump took congratulatory call from Taiwan President after securing his success in Presidential election of 2016. Trump also indicates that he would reconsider the policy of “One China” after sworn in and getting into office.

On the other hand, President-Elect Donald Trump told that he won’t meet any official of foreign states till than he is getting into office, 20th January.

Whereas, China had asked the United States not to allow Tsai to enter or have formal government meetings under the one China policy.

Cruz was pointed in his criticism of the Chinese, saying they needed to “understand that in America we make decisions about meeting with visitors for ourselves.”
